‘More than a Pub’ programme at The Abingdon Arms, Beckley
BACBS organise events at The Abingdon Arms as part of their More than a Pub programme. Regular activities take place both ‘physically’ in The Abingdon Arms and other locations and, in some cases virtually on Zoom. These events are listed below. There is no need to book for any of the events listed.
More than a Pub Talks
Talks are from local experts on a wide range of topics. They are held in the pub at 6.30pm on the last Sunday of every month, apart from August. See below for more information. Recordings of some of the older talks and accompanying presentation slides are available on request from info@bacbs.org.
More than a Pub Walks
These gentle, approximately two-hour, walks. They start at 2pm from outside the pub and run on the third Sunday of every mont except August. Dogs on leads welcome. As well as the regular led walks below, some local walk routes are described here.
Pub Quiz
The popular pub quiz is on the first Wednesday of every month at 7.30 pm, every month except August. All welcome! Come as part of a team or you can join a team on the night.
