Helen Weinstein presents new evidence sharing the stories of those who lived and worked in the Beckley area in Victorian times - sharing the detective work involved to reveal the people and properties told through photographs, documents and artefacts - many of them never seen by the public before! 

Helen and ‘Historyworks’ have worked extensively with the BBC and other broadcasters on innovative ways to engage with the public on a wide range of topics, especially art and history. These include TV, radio and web-based projects. A recent major project was ‘BBC World War One at Home’.
