Oxford’s Forgotten Stories - Faith, martyrs and miracles

  • The Abingdon Arms High Street Beckley OX3 9UU United Kingdom (map)

Andrew Myatt of Stanton St John will look at the forgotten stories of how Oxford was founded in about 700AD through some miracles, the turbulence of faith and politics in the Middle Ages, as well as some of the 'heroes of the faith’, right up to CS Lewis.

Andrew Myatt is a church leader and entrepreneur based in Oxford, England. He and his wife, Mandy, founded Oxford Vineyard Church in 1992, aiming to create a community centred on the teachings of Jesus.
In addition to his pastoral role, Andrew is involved in various ventures. He co-founded Oxford Farmhouse, a charitable interest company focused on producing apple-based products like cider and apple juice. The company also engages in community initiatives, including partnerships with organisations that support individuals facing homelessness and those with autism and learning difficulties.
Andrew and Mandy have four sons and have lived on the edge of Stanton St John for 28 years.

This talk will be given in the pub and not recorded.
