Carbon Capture and Storage - what, why, and when (COP26)

A talk by Tim Dixon on carbon capture and storage. Tim has worked on CCS for 20 years and leads an international research organisation which focusses on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), a technology to decarbonise much of the energy sector that could even remove carbon dioxide from the air. Tim has attended most climate change conferences since COP-5, and was a lead negotiator for the EU for a while. Tim will give an introduction to CCS, how it fits into the global climate change scene, where it is happening, and provide some context for the climate summit in Glasgow, COP26. Tim lives in Horton cum Studley.

This will be a “hybrid” talk with Tim giving the talk in the pub and on Zoom at the same time.

The talk has been recorded. To request access to the recording, please email info@bacbs.org.
