Anthea Dobry from Church Street in Beckley will be 'Not Going Quietly', live in the pub for 40 minutes or so.
'Not Going Quietly', written by Anthea's aunt Angela Howard, exists variously as radio, playscripts and an anthology of short stories. For this More Than A Pub evening a dramatic monologue introduces us to the vintage comedy of 'Mabel Fawcett Dodds' and her life in 'far from superior' sheltered accommodation.
A collection will be taken for entertainment funds at two local care homes: St Andrew's and Cleeve Lodge Care. It would be lovely to see you there.
