Tales of the Unexpected: Andrew Wilson

Andrew Wilson, Andrew Wilson, who lives in Elsfield, has been a journalist for over 35 years.

He started his career, quite by accident, with a production job on breakfast television. He spent a few years working with Greenpeace before starting a 15 year stretch as a foreign correspondent and 10 years as a Sky News television anchor.

From the fall of the Berlin Wall to the Arab Spring Andrew will share some of the many conflicts he has witnessed and stories he has covered and offer a personal insight into the challenges of raising a family whilst traveling the world, and the personal impact of consistent exposure to wars and natural disasters.

Andrew will also share his views on the news industry and whether we still get the news we deserve.

This talk will be on Zoom and in the pub.
